It is inevitable that I look back before starting a new and exciting season. I remember where I was a year ago at this time and the goals that we set as a team. I remember the subsequent defeats and failures, as well as the titles, the good memories, and the unforgettable moments.

And so the journey begins. The ball begins to roll. After a turmultuous preseason, the date, time, and rival is set, and our first goal is born: to win the first title game, the Swedish Super Cup. And the best part is that we are ready. After 3 months of preseason where the snow and the cold were the protagonists and where we dealt with injuries, fatigue, national team camps, tough opponents, and growing pains .. it is time to show that this team is a little stronger than last year and will grow a little stronger each day.

The match tomorrow (Monday, April 1) will be difficult. Our opponent is tough, and they have left us with bitter memories from the cup final. Tomorrow will be a bit of revenge, yes, although the strength of this team does not come from the rivalry, it is self-imposed.

I invite and encourage you to follow the Swedish competition, to support Tyresö FC, and to join me on this journey.. the SuperCup, the Cup, League, Euro13, Champions League.. I have passion and many goals to fulfill. Let´s go!!

Y POR FIN.. EMPIEZA LO BUENO!!

Es inevitable echar la vista atrás antes de empezar una nueva e ilusionante temporada. Recordar dónde y cómo estaba hace un año por estas fechas, los objetivos que había, las posteriores derrotas y caídas, los títulos, buenos recuerdos y momentos inolvidables.

Esto empieza. El balón echa a rodar y después de una pretemporada irregular, tenemos fecha, hora y rival para nuestro primer objetivo, el primer título en juego, la Supercopa Sueca. Y lo mejor es que estamos listas. Después de 3 meses de pretemporada donde la nieve y el frío han sido los protagonistas y donde hemos convivido con lesiones, cansancio, concentraciones de selecciones, rivales complicados y muchas situaciones de las cuales aprender.. ha llegado el momento de demostrar que este equipo es un poco más fuerte que el año pasado y será un poco más fuerte cada día.

El partido de mañana (Lunes 1 de abril, 16h en TV4) será difícil, un rival complicado del que tenemos el recuerdo amargo que nos dejó en la final de copa, un poco de revancha, si, aunque la fuerza de este equipo no está en el rival sino en la autoexigencia.

Os invito y animo a que sigais la competición sueca, a que apoyéis al Tyresö FC, a que os ilusionéis conmigo y con mis objetivos.. Supercopa, Copa, Liga, Eurocopa, Champions League.. Muchas ganas y muchos sueños que cumplir. VAMOS!!

II CAMPUS VERO BOQUETE

El II Campus Vero Boquete ya está a la vuelta de la esquina. Se celebrará los días 26,27 y 28 de Diciembre de 2012. Este año las instalaciones serán el Complejo Municipal de Santa Isabel(Pabellón y campo de fútbol), Campo de Fútbol de As Cancelas y Campo de fútbol do Sergas. Además, el albergue para aquello que deseen pernoctar en la ciudad los días del campus estará en el Centro Don Bosco.

El día 26 tendrá lugar en el pabellón de Santa Isabel la presentación y la confección de los grupos a las 9:00h. Los dos primeros días los participantes estarán hasta las 14h. El último día por la tarde la recogida de los participantes será a las 19h ya que se llevará a cabo una comida y jornada de tiempo libre y la posterior entrega de diplomas.

O II Campus Vero Boquete xa a está á volta da esquina. Os días de celebración do II Campus serán o 26, 27 e 28 de decembro de 2 012. Este ano as instalacións serán o complexo Municipal de Santa Isabel (pavillón e campo de fútbol), campo de fútbol de As Cancelas e campo de fútbol do Sergas. Ademais, o albergue para aqueles que desexen pernoctar na cidade os días do Campus estará no Centro Don Bosco.

Let’s do it step by step. First, the League where we won again 5:1 away to Piteå IF. I think we controlled the game at all times, but perhaps we got a bit complacent knowing it and allowed our opponents to create danger especially in the first half. It’s worth noting the “return” to form and starting 11 of Kirsten Van de Ven after 2-3 months absence or not being fully fit. With her back to full fitness, the team gains in quality, ball control, efficiency.. We are all very happy to see her fully recovered!!On the other hand, Malmö keeps winning, and the table hasn’t changed (Malmö still 1st, and Tyresö 2nd just two points behind). Linköpings FC put up a great fight in a frenetic game against Malmö who came away 5:3 winners in the end. This Sunday, it’s our turn to face Linköpings, which managed to beat us this season. So the possible “revenge” makes the match even more interesting.

Another chance for “revenge” is the Cup Final! That’s right, we are in the final!!! It’s great to be there, but what matters is to win it. I’m mentioning “revenge” as the final will be a repeat of last year’s match against Göteborg, which my Tyresö lost on penalty kicks. I wasn’t there last year to experience it, but some of my current teammates shared with me the pain of that defeat, which no one wants to repeat.. Without wanting, I have lost a few finals in the last few years, but no worries as I promised myself – NEVER AGAIN!!The semifinal against Jitex was a good indication, the result explaining everything really (6-2). To be fair, however, we did not play well for the first 20 minutes.. Following that, we sentenced the match quite rapidly and decisively. Personally I’m happy with my two goals but moreover with the way I played, the 3 consecutive player-of-the-match awards, which both gives me confidence and helps achieve my personal objectives of giving that extra step and improve my performance in the second part of the season after the break for the Olympics.

10 of October in Göteborg..- the first possible trophy we can win this season, a final to play and to win. But there is a month to go, so it can wait. The most important match now is always the next one – Tyresö FF – Linköpings FC, Sunday, September 2, at 17h live on TV4 Sport.

Vayamos por orden.. Empiezo por la liga, donde conseguimos una nueva victoria por 1-5 frente a Piteå IF. Creo que tuvimos el partido controlado en todo momento pero quizás ese control nos hizo acomodarnos demasiado y conceder algunas ocasiones al rival, especialmente en la 1ª parte. Es destacable la “vuelta” de Kirsten Van de Ven, después de 2-3 meses sin jugar o sin estar al 100% por culpa de una contusión cerebral, regresa al 11 titular en un gran estado de forma. Y con su vuelta, el equipo gana en calidad, en control del juego, en efectividad.. Todas nos alegramos de su recuperación!!

Por otro lado, Malmö sigue sin pinchar y la clasificación continúa igual (Malmö 1º y Tyresö 2º a solo dos puntos). El LinköpingsFC le plantó cara en un partido frenético, pero finalmente se llevaron la victoria (3-5). Este domingo somos nosotras las que tenemos que cumplir frente a ellas, y hay que recordar que Linköpings es el único equipo que ha conseguido ganarnos esta temporada, pero esa posible “revancha” hacen el partido aún más interesante.

Pero para revancha la final de copa!! Porque si, estamos en la final!! Y llegar está muy bien pero ganar es lo importante, lo que vale. Y hablo de revancha porque se repite la final del año pasado, Göteborg-Tyresö, donde fueron ellas las que se llevaron la copa en los penaltis. Evidentemente yo no estuve allí, no jugué esa final pero algunas compañeras ya se han encargado de explicarme lo que dolió aquella derrota.. Aunque no hacía falta, en los últimos años me he convertido en toda una experta en perder finales.. Pero tranquilos, me prometí a mi misma que NUNCA MÁIS!!

La semifinal contra Jitex resultó ser un trámite, la contundencia del resultado (6-2) lo resume todo. Aunque para ser críticos, en los primeros 20′ no estuvimos al nivel que deberíamos.. Pasada la “empanada”, sentenciamos en pocos minutos. Personalmente estoy contenta por mis 2 goles pero sobretodo por mi juego, 3 MVP consecutivos que me dan confianza y sobretodo cumplen un poco mis objetivos individuales en esta segunda parte de la temporada(después del parón por los JJOO), ir un paso más, meter una marcha más y dar mi máximo rendimiento.

10 de octubre en Göteborg.. el primer objetivo de la temporada es posible, una final por jugar y una final que ganar. Pero para eso falta más de un mes, con lo cual, puede esperar.. El partido más importante es siempre el siguiente y ese es TyresöFF – LinköpingsFC , Domingo 2 a las 17h en directo por TV4 Sport.

It’s not just to win, it’s “how” you win!

After summer break for the Olympic Games we are back competing and have already achieved two victories with the identical 5:1 score, the first one in the Cup game against Mallbacken and the second one against Vittsjö in the League.

Even though Mallbacken doesn’t play in our League, and it was supposed to be an easy match on paper, it didn’t prove to be easy at all regardless of the result. We faced a highly motivated team, which pressed us early and did everything they could to stop us even though in the end it wasn’t enough. The most remarkable was to arrive in a small town in the middle of nowhere and find a natural grass field in a great shape and the stands filled with people from the moment we started our warm-up! It’s a great spectacle for a women’s football match. Then, it was the bruise I got in the collision with their keeper (below). And certainly, the debut of our new coach Tony Gustavsson, Pia Sundhage’s assistant with the USA National Team (recent Olympic Champion). We knew we were on the right track with him after the very first training he conducted.

Once we secured our place in the Cup semifinals, we had to concentrate on the League – getting the mandatory three points from the start. Our rival was Vittsjö GIK, which made it even more special since they were right behind us in third place and because just recently we were “robbed” two points at their place, which leaves us second in Sweden at the moment. It was time for revenge, and that’s what we achieved.

If we had something clear before stepping onto the field with the arrival of Tony, is that the team would be more aggressive and would try to impose a very high rhythm.. We did it from the very first minute, and we were winning 3-0 by half-time. The team looked good, worked hard defensively, pressed high, recuperated balls quickly after we lost possession, bossed the game, and created chances. It wasn’t about just winning the match, but about how we won it.. We have raised our focus and preparation levels, and we keep increasing it week by week. We have clear objectives (the League and the Cup), and we know we must give 100% for that. We are currently second, two points behind FC Malmö (Malmö-Tyresö is the last match of the season), so we cannot lose any points along the way. Every game we have left is an authentic final in itself.

What comes now?? What awaits us in the next weeks? A match away from home, Sunday against Piteå IF, Cup semifinals match vs Jitex BK, a visit of Linköpings FC, KIF Örebro, matches with the National Teams (in September an inconsequential match against Romania and in October, a must win play-off tie for the right to qualify for the Euro 2013 finals), more League games… A lot of important objectives at stake in just under 4 months, but most of all – a lot of games to enjoy!

“No es ganar sino el cómo ganas”

Después del parón veraniego por los JJOO volvimos a la competición, primero con un partido de copa frente al Mallbacken y después contra Vittsjö en liga, dos victorias e idénticos resultados, 5-1.

Mallbacken no es un rival de nuestra liga con lo que a priori se suponía fácil, por el resultado lo parece pero no lo fue tanto. Nos encontramos un equipo con muchas ganas, que nos presionaba la salida del balón y que hicieron todo lo que pudieron, aunque, evidentemente no fue suficiente. Lo más destacable, llegar a un pueblecito perdido en el medio de la nada y encontrarte con un campo de hierba natural en perfecto estado y las gradas llenas de gente (ilusionada por ver fútbol femenino) desde el calentamiento!! Mi golpe después de un balón dividido con la portera.. Y por supuesto, el debut como nuevo entrenador de Tony Gustavsson, 2º de Pia Sundhage en USA (reciente oro olímpico). Tan solo después de un entrenamiento.. ya sabíamos que con él iremos por el buen camino.

Después de conseguir nuestro pase a semifinales llegaba el momento de centrarnos en la liga con la obligación de ganar los 3 puntos si o si. Vittsjö GIK fue nuestro rival y eso hacía el partido doblemente importante, por ser el tercer clasificado con lo que ganando podríamos distanciarnos y porque en el partido que jugamos en su casa nos “robaron” dos puntos que nos hacen estar segundas en la actualidad. Era hora de revancha, y lo fue.

Si algo teníamos claro antes de saltar al campo es que con la llegada de Tony, el equipo sería más agresivo e impondría un ritmo muy alto.. Lo hicimos desde el primer minuto y al descanso ganábamos 3-0. El equipo se gustó, trabajó en defensa, presionó arriba, recuperó rápido tras la perdida, se adueñó del balón.. y creo ocasiones. No fue el ganar sino como ganamos.. Subimos el listón y lo iremos subiendo semana a semana, tenemos claros los objetivos (Liga y Copa) y sabemos que para eso hace falta el 100%. Estamos segundas a dos puntos del FC Malmö (Malmö-Tyresö es el último partido) y no podemos fallar, lo que nos queda son auténticas finales.

Y ahora que viene?? Que nos espera en las próximas semanas?? Pues un partido fuera, el domingo frente al Piteå IF, semifinales de copa frente al Jitex BK, la visita del Linköpings FC, KIF Örebro, partidos con las selecciones (En septiembre un partido intrascendente frente a Rumanía y en Octubre el ser o no ser, el estar o no en la Euro13), más liga… Menos de 4 meses en los que hay muchas cosas en juego, pero sobretodo, partidos de los que disfrutar
